Zone of control is also a great addition here, and map design is looking pretty good. Class customization starts off pretty shallow, but where I’m at I’ve already reached the 3rd out of 4th tier classes, so you move quickly and each unit really falls into a specific niche (though less distinction between knight/warrior, knights feel less tanky than they should be, this may change with progression). I’d say magic is a lot more interesting than the physical classes as well, with magic having an effect on the terrain similar to Divinity Original Sin 2 (wet units will receive more damage from lightning, and freeze when hit by ice). Combat is quick and smooth.Īnimations look great but are a little one note, especially with the physical classes generally having 1 attack, as well as dark magic looking a little samey.
